"1000 BC" Fire-Steel Kit
To celebrate the history of human fire-making, I made a tiny run of custom fire steels.
Each fire steel kit includes one striker and a hand-napped piece of flint, made by me. Each striker is laser-cut from 1095 high-carbon steel, then hand-finished and engraved by me with my signature and the year "1000 BC" - a nod to the beginning of the Iron Age, when iron and steel tools started changing how people made fire.
They're simple, functional, and built to throw sparks for years. It'll also look great on your shelf.
